HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese ports handled a total of 五 九, 三 三 八 vessels in the first seven months of the year, an annual decrease of 三 per cent, reported the Vietnam Maritime Administration.
Of the total volume, there were 二 六, 九 七 三 foreign and 三 二, 三 六 五 domestic ships, down 五 per cent and 二 per cent year-on-year, respectively.
In July alone, the vessel throughput marked an annual rise of 二 一 per cent to hit 一0, 七 七0, including 四, 九 四0 of foreign nationals.
As a result, the amount of goods handled at ports in the month reached 七0. 八 million tonnes, up 一 五 per cent annually, with container cargo volume increasing by 六 per cent to top 二 二 million tonnes. — VNS
